What makes a great Regional Support Specialist (RSS)?

There are many qualities that make a strong Regional Support Specialist. At BFF, we’re looking for someone with prior experience working in exchange organizations and a passion for this line of work. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as a proven ability to recruit host families and make successful placements.
Our RSS team plays a key role in supporting and developing its network of Community Advisors. As an RSS, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • The RSS is responsible for assisting the CA with facets of the host family recruitment, student placement, and supervision processes.
  • Regularly checking in with team members to ensure their success in their role.
  • Oversee and support team members with student orientations.
  • Support CAs with on-program support for students and families at the discretion of the RD.
  • Assist with student relocations.
