CA Lisa, Eang (Cambodia), Mathilde (France)

Lisa B., her students, husband, and father, all came together and dedicated several months to the establishment of a Free Library and Blessing Box. Their collective effort involved building the boxes and gathering books and non-perishable items to fill them. These community resources are now available at the Strawberry Patch/Farmers Market, a testament to the power of community collaboration. Under Lisa’s guidance, the students successfully placed a Blessing Box and Free Library in their location. Lisa expresses her appreciation to their partner, The Farmer’s Daughter of Beaver Dam, LLC, for graciously accommodating the placement of these boxes at their establishment. We are so proud of this unique and special volunteer initiative. This is representative of the direct impact exchange students can make within their host communities.
